Architect William Hicks took his inspiration from some of the vernacular aesthetic in the heart of Downtown Oakville which includes the heritage district immediately south of The Cabot development.

The use of cedar shingle on the walls coupled with the architectural detailing of the facade enables the four Townhomes to blend with the scale and character of the neighbourhood.

The use of low garden brick walls and landscape features is in direct response to similar architectural elements in the immediate area.

The facade has been divided into different components to provide a sense of relief on the street and to enhance the character and scale of the building. Landscape features complete the assimilation of the building into the streetscape on Robinson.

The detailing of the heated driveways and the use of landscape features make the entry and arrival feel like a forecourt or courtyard.

The Cabot will be a strong addition to the streetscape along Robinson.
