Living in Fairview

Fairview is part of central Mississauga. The Mississauga City Centre is conveniently located just a few minutes north of this neighbourhood and the Cookeville neighbourhood is located just to the south. This is a densely populated neighbourhood where families can buy a home close to amenities and public transit within a reasonable price tag compared to many other parts of the City. Fairview abuts the Mavis Erindale industrial lands and is bisected by the St. Lawrence & Hudson Railway.

History of Fairview

Fairview is part of a network of neighbourhoods that grew up around the Mississauga City Centre. It was planned in 1990, making Fairview one of the last neighbourhoods to be built in Mississauga.

The original housing stock consists of detached and semi-detached split level houses and bungalows. The bungalows are highly sought after by builders who are tearing them down and replacing them with large custom designed homes. There are also typical subdivision style detached and semi-detached houses with the garage out front.  Entry level townhomes are also part of the housing mix. A handful of new condos are situated on the arterial streets that border the neighbourhood.
